Believe it or not! It just got a lot harder to keep up with the Joneses in Manhattan’s Billionaire’s Row. A record-breaking $100 million luxury residence was purchased in December last year.
The buyer, whose identity was not revealed dished out more than $100 million ($100,471,452.77 to be exact) for a two-level duplex penthouse in skyscraper One57 in Midtown Manhattan. The purchase is considered to be the highest price paid for a residence in New York City. The unit, no. 90, spans the 89th and 90th floors and is sure to offer breath-taking views of Central Park. The building, designed by Christian De Portzampark, rises 1,000 feet and is a mixed-use building with 210 hotel rooms. Among the facilities, residents have access to in-room dining and spa services, a swimming pool and cleaning and dog-walking amenities.
